Happy New Year Bolder Sisters!
Wow, 2019 is here and I am ready for it. I always get excited about fresh starts, so bringing in a new year is always a celebration for me, no matter what I am doing.
Last night, as I prepared to ring in the new year with my family, I briefly sat and reflected on 2018. It was a ride. I brought in 2018 on a dance floor. I created my vision board at the start of the year, and looked at it every morning. I celebrated, basically all year long with my sister’s pre-wedding activities and her actual wedding, which I officiated. My husband and I partied at a few of the big summer festivals in the city, and we had an amazing vacation to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I discovered the song “I’m Living My Best Life” in Punta Cana, and used it as my motto ever since. And I flew to Maryland to celebrate my aunt’s 50th Birthday, where I gave a toast about living with no regrets and danced so much the DJ asked me where else do I party. What a time.
There were also a few not so fun moments with serious health challenges for my loved ones, and a brief battle with one of my own. I also spent a great deal of time not being focused and unmotivated with my purpose. What a time.
I know we would all prefer all good times, like all the time, but how will we grow if we don’t experience the challenges. I’m grateful for it all. I learned some things about myself last year. I have some growing to do and I now know what I need to stay on track. I had to strengthen my relationship with my greatest friend, God. I’m nothing without Him. I also have to remember my why’s on a consistent basis. Why I decided to become a life and love coach. Why I write. Why I train. Why I have to be bold and confident. And why I am here.
So, I say welcome to 2019. It’s a new opportunity to deliver on all those whys. I asked for it to bring complete healing for my loved ones, love, joy, peace, fun and motivation! I will walk in my purpose this year and I will be totally and completely me.
Thank you Bolder Sisters for being you, sticking by my side and doing what you do to walk in your Bold! You rock!!
Happy New Year!
I would love to hear your 2018 highlights and what you asked 2019 to bring, please share in the comment section below.
Wow! 2018 was truly a great ride for you! I look forward already to reading how 2019 was for you!
Right now I’d have to say the biggest highlight of 2018 was the sale of my home. It was a financial burden for a year and a half paying for 2 places.
There were other small moments not significant enough yet to write about but I’m hopeful they will be something to brag on in 2019.
Keep inspiring us!
Thank you Yolonda for sharing!! And I’m so happy you were able to sell your home! I know how difficult that must have been! I’m looking forward to hearing all your 2019 highlights too!! It’s going to be a great year!! I believe that!
Thank you for always being so open and honest! 2018 was extremely rocky and it would be easy to say I have no highlights, but I know that is not totally true. For 2019 I’m looking forward to building up foundations that I feel were falling down in 2018. I’m extremely stubborn, so it won’t be easy, but I’m going to work on it! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you Tracy! I pray for a better 2019 for you and your family. Another of my plans for 2019 is to make sure I’m checking in on my friends more, so they know they are supported. You are not alone!
