Secure The Dream

We hear so much about “secure the bag”,  which according to the Urban Dictionary means “An expression used to describe the act of taking/obtaining advantage of the situation and keeping something of value.  The “bag” is anything you want/desire. You must obtain it or accomplish your goal.”
Securing the bag is awesome and we should be taking advantage of opportunities. But how often do we talk about  Securing the Dream? Sisters you know me and you know I’m a dream chaser and getter, and someone who pushes others to rewrite their lives to reflect their dreams. Your actions should align with your dreams. I get that it’s not always easy to pursue your inner desires and goals. Certain things show up as road blocks; financial burdens, lack of support, fear and even our own comfort zones. But the good thing is there are detours, ways around those roadblocks if we choose to pursue them.
One thing I was reminded of recently, by an article I received from Inside Success, is that Growth & Comfort Can’t Occupy The Same Space.
I have never been able to accomplish very much in my oh so comfy comfort zone. Whenever I was able to “Secure the Dream” was always when I pushed past my nerves and did things that normally scared the hell out of me. Of course we all need inspiration along the way, which is definitely how I achieved many of my goals. I want to do the same for you Sisters.
If you find yourself in a space where the ability to “Secure The Dream” is difficult,  here’s the inspiration I received this week. The Inside Success article 7 Brave Steps to Become Fearless is just what a Bolder Sister needs every now and then. Check it out and share your thoughts in the comment section below. Also, let me know what you are doing right now to “Secure the Dream”
