Hey Bolder Sisters! I hope you had another fantabulous week and that you were able to highlight the parts of yourself you love the most. I’m anxious to hear all about it. Now that we’re on week 4, you’re probably even more excited about your next challenge. In case you’re just getting wind of the April challenge, here’s the post from week one. Following the post, you’ll find the challenge for week 4. Good luck!
At some point, we all grow weary of simply talking about the changes we would like to make in our lives. Eventually, we have to put our money where our mouth is, get off our @$$ and take action. I recognize taking action is easier said than done, but it has to be done nonetheless.
I always find the beginning of any month the perfect time to start something new. With that being said why not use the beginning of April to challenge yourself, step out of your normal routine and do something extraordinary?
There is a goal, a dream, something on your life to-do-list that keeps eating away at you. Why not get busy moving? If you’re not quite sure how or where to begin, think baby steps. I always ask the question, how does a mouse eat an elephant? One bite at a time. It’s the same way we accomplish a goal, one step at a time.
This month I am challenging all my bolder sister readers to take a few risks with me. You can use my challenge below as a guide or create your own bold challenge.
Whichever you decide, I hope you’ll join me in declaring April the month of boldness. If you’re ready, here’s how it’ll work. Each week we will tackle a new challenge and share our outcome on these pages. I look forward to hearing from all of my readers. As you join me with these fun challenges, please remember to share it with friends and encourage them to join the bolder sister blog.
Week 1
Write your own theme song and share your lyrics here. Every bolder sister deserves her very own theme song. Take some time and create a song that highlights who you really are. After you’ve completed your song, I would love for you to share with the other readers in the comment section.
Week 2
Strike up a conversation with a safe stranger. Most of the challenge with being a shy girl is centered around our fears. One big fear is stepping outside of our comfort zone. There are amazing people everywhere with interesting stories or the ability to connect us with a lead. I’ve seen wonderful opportunities come as a result of just speaking to someone new. You can do this, even if it feels odd, remember you’re doing it for you!
Week 3
Spend every day of this week highlighting something you love about yourself and find a way to accentuate it somehow. In a previous post, I shared 7 things you should love about yourself. It’s one thing to love yourself but it’s another to demonstrate that love. So this week I’m asking you to display to the world what specifically you love about yourself. If it’s your lips, accentuate them with a bold new color. If it’s your hair, draw attention to it by adorning it with a flower, clip or other hair accessory that fits with your style. Again, the idea is to make others take notice of the very part of you, you love the most. I look forward to hearing all about it as well as seeing photos if applicable.
Week 4
Tweet or update your Facebook status with something unique, yet powerful about yourself. Think about you who you really are or how those that love you most would describe you to the rest of the world and declare it to to everyone else. Phrases like “I’m a bold, beautiful sister who rocks her natural hair” or “I am a strong and passionate parent who’s raising smart and independent children”. Whatever phrases positively describe you, share them. You don’t have to share the explanation behind it, but post the phrase and see the impact it has on others who read it
Remember, each week there will be a new challenge. I sure hope you’re ready to join me.

I don’t know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everyone
else experiencing problems with your blog. It appears as though some of the
written text on your content are running off the screen. Can somebody else please comment and let me
know if this is happening to them too? This could be a problem with my
internet browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
