Did you know, that over 6,500 Chicagoans don’t have a place to call home? That’s 6,500 too many. For those of us who are blessed to have family, daily meals and a roof over our heads, we can no longer be content with just our own well-being. Life is about being of service and finding a way to make an impact and a difference in someone else’s life. I am blessed to be able to work with individuals affected by homelessness and poverty and assist them in transforming their lives. So whenever I hear of an event or an organization whose mission is to eradicate poverty, I jump at the chance to support, spread the word and be of assistance in any way I can. Handbags for Homes, coordinated by all Chicago, whose mission is to make homelessness history, is a must attend event. It takes place Thursday, June 11th, at 6:00 pm in Chicago. Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a chance to win one of several designer handbags. If you are looking for an exciting girls’ night out and a way to support individuals and families affected by homelessness and poverty, please purchase your ticket today, and don’t forget to spread the word.
